Pupils in the Prep and Senior Schools will be allocated to one of the Houses. Each House will be co-educational and will have the same structure: a Housemaster or Housemistress plus at least five Tutors.
Each year group will have a Tutor who will be responsible for the immediate day-to-day organisation of pupils and who will help monitor and guide pastoral and academic progress. The Tutor is likely to be the first port of call for the family when contacting the school, and we hope that a strong partnership will develop over the years between the school and home. The Housemaster or Housemistress will maintain the overview of all the pupils in their House and will be responsible for the tone and ethos of the House. They will also take specific interest in key areas of the pupils’ progress, such as IGCSE choices and university admissions and will be involved in helping pupils through any disciplinary issues.
Each House will develop its own ethos and spirit and House Competitions will be an opportunity for all pupils to represent their House in a wide range of events and activities, from Singing to Swimming and Entrepreneurship to Tug-o-War. In particular, there will be a large number of non-sporting events, alongside the huge range of traditional House sports competitions.
