The pursuit of the arts at Brighton College Bangkok will be considered as an activity worthy of great dedication in its own right, but also as a vitally important vehicle to nurture the creativity, passion and individuality of each child at the College. Artistic endeavour will encourage our pupil body to be curious, courageous and original and will enliven and complement the academic life of the College in a very special way.
Expressive and Performing Art subjects will be included within the curriculum of the College; each creative and performing arts department within the College will have its own particular emphasis and philosophy but all will work closely together, being committed to the pursuit of excellence as well as provision for all.
Arts activities on offer will include drawing and sketching, painting with different media, modelling, weaving, photography and computer aided design. Our dance specialist will incorporate drama and expressive arts into their lessons as well as poetry, play scripts and debating being covered within the English curriculum. Music lessons will also include time for choir, orchestra and individual instrumental music tuition, allowing pupils to study towards examinations by the Associated Board for the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM).
The Arts will also be heavily represented within the school’s Extra Curriculum Activities programme which will be available to pupils after the school day has ended.
