Pupils in the Prep and Senior Schools are allocated to one of four Houses. Each House is co-educational and has the same structure: a Housemaster or Housemistress plus at least five Tutors.
Each year group has a Tutor who is responsible for the immediate day-to-day organisation of pupils and who helps to monitor and guide pastoral and academic progress, and the Tutor should be the first port of call for a family when contacting the school.
The Housemaster or Housemistress maintains a broad overview of all the pupils in their House. They also take a specific interest in key areas of the pupils’ progress, such as IGCSE choices and university admissions and will be involved in helping pupils through any disciplinary issues.
Each House has quickly developed its own ethos and spirit and House Competitions are a great opportunity for all pupils to represent their House in a wide range of events and activities, from Singing and Swimming to Entrepreneurship and Tug-o-War.
