Songkran Celebration at Brighton College Bangkok Vibhavadi
Our Songkran celebrations across Early Years, Prep and Senior Schools were joyful and meaningful, bringing together pupils, parents and teachers to celebrate Thai traditions.
The day began with a Monk Almsgiving Ceremony and water offering ceremony, giving pupils the opportunity to reflect on respect and receive blessings for the Thai New Year. In Early Years, children also enjoyed creative activities such as T-shirt painting, photo sessions and Ramwong Songkran dance.
Across the school, festivities continued with a vibrant Temple Fair atmosphere, featuring Thai dessert stalls, games, photo opportunities and water play. The celebrations were filled with laughter, creativity and community spirit.
It was a memorable occasion that strengthened our school community while embracing the rich traditions of Thai culture.
