Year 5 Hall of Visionaries

During Term 1, Year 5 studied visionaries in the space of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in their SOOL lessons. As part of their learning, pupils worked in groups to research the impact of significant historical figures across different arenas like science, sports, the arts and politics. Year 5 also looked at figures who laid the groundwork for justice and equality like Jesse Owens, Frida Kahlo and Rosa Parks as well as modern visionaries like Malala Yousafzai and Lewis Hamilton. Pupils worked both collaboratively and independently and presented their research in various ways, such as 3D-printed models, artwork, booklets and games.
