Reception Safari Adventure!

Our Reception pupils have embarked on their very own safari adventure as a hook for their trip to the theatre production of The Lion Inside. The Reception area has been buzzing with excitement as the children explored animal habitats, followed footprints, and immersed themselves in imaginative savannah play.

Alongside all the fun, this safari theme has been a wonderful way to encourage more writing through play. From drawing and labelling animals to creating their own safari story maps, the children have been highly motivated to mark-make and share their ideas.

It has been a joyful week of creativity, curiosity, and confident communication ahead of our exciting trip!
