Senior school pupils have enjoyed a raft of activities and experiences this week as part of the school's Humanities Week. Following on from the very successful Geography field trip to Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai with Year 10 - 12, the Humanities department put on more activities to stimulate, engage and inspire in school. Our 'game changer challenge' set pupils the task of researching the lives of five well-known figures and delivering speeches to their Houses; they even had a life-size cut out for company. The task was a great way to encourage them to empathise and identify the key characteristics of people who make a significant positive impact on a global scale. Our GCSE and A Level Business pupils were set the challenge of setting up a business for just 500 baht and they took to it with enthusiasm, creativity and endeavour. The buzz around the 8 market stalls at lunchtime this week was huge and it's great to see such entrepreneurial talent being developed, whilst raising a lot of money for charity. Other tasks during the week included: designing earthquake-proof buildings, researching current affairs, psychological experiments, history treasure hunts and much more. A huge well done to all the pupils and staff involved.
