At Brighton College Bangkok, we want sport to be enjoyed by all, and for our children to develop a love of practice and competition.
From pupils in the earliest year groups, all the way up to those studying for IGCSE and A Level in Physical Education, there’s something for everyone, including football and tennis, basketball and badminton, athletics, swimming, kayaking and more, making the most of our world-class facilities.
Football
Our Bobcats love to play football all year round, and can take advantage of our full-size grass pitch and our indoor, air-conditioned Sports Hall when the weather requires.
Our boys' and girls' teams play in regular competitive matches against local schools in TISAC and GBAC events, enjoying the beautiful game in small-sided games that encourage teamwork.
There are also free after-school clubs for regular kickabouts (Year 4 and upwards), and professional coaching available from our CCA partner United Football Academy, available for children of all ages.
Basketball
Our indoor Sports Hall boasts three full-size basketball courts, ideal for both learning the basic skills and competitive play.
Boys and girls from Year 4 upwards are coached by our experienced PE teachers, and introduced to regular competitive matches and tournaments against local schools.
There are also after-school clubs, and holiday camps to allow pupils to follow their passion for basketball, managed by the professional coaches at Top Flight Basketball.
Swimming
Every child in every class enjoys a weekly swim lesson, with our PE staff supported by top international coaches from the BEST Swimming Academy. We have three swimming pools on campus: a shallow starter pool, a short-course 25m pool, and an IOC-approved, long course 50m pool.
Pupils can join after-school clubs to improve and develop water confidence for children that need it, while our best swimmers can join the BCB Swim Squad. The squad train regularly during the week, and compete in high-profile swim meets across Bangkok.
In 2021, Brighton hosted our first Festival of Swimming, a huge event with over 300 swimmers competing in our long-course pool.
Tennis
Pupils from Year 4 upwards are able to learn tennis on our four enclosed hard courts. Our PE teachers, assisted by coaches from PJ Tennis, Bangkok’s largest professional tennis academy, make tennis fun for children of all ages and levels.
Players in the Senior School may be invited to join our Tennis Squad training, in preparation for competing in TISAC and FOBISIA events.
Parents and pupils are also invited to hire our tennis courts or to take private lessons with PJ Tennis. Please contact the school reception if you would like more information.
Badminton
Pupils from Year 4 upwards learn badminton in our large, air-conditioned Sports Hall, starting with the basics before entering into competition.
Every year our Senior School enjoy an internal House badminton competition, while our badminton squad regularly competes in matches and tournaments against local schools.
There is also an after-school club for badminton, where pupils can practice their skills alongside peers and our PE teachers.
Athletics
Track and field athletics provides some great opportunities for our children to learn new skills, and to make the most of our exceptional facilities.
Whether it's running on our IOC-approved 400m running track, leaping into our long jump sandpit, or throwing a javelin across the field, there's something for everyone to try and excel in.
As co-curricular activities, we offer long-distance running and squad training in preparation for competitive events
Study PE at IGCSE and A Level
PE is a popular subject for pupils to choose for IGCSE, combining physiology and active participation.

PE is also offered as one of the 21 subjects we offer at A Level in our Sixth Form.
