Our Culture of Kindness
We take our responsibility to the environment and our local community seriously. As a school, we regularly run events for local charities, from cake sales to themed House days where children can wear fancy dress. Being able to donate small money and raise large totals provides a great lesson for our pupils that their contributions matter from a young age.
Working with the Local Community
We work closely with the local Wang Yai community, who live and work in the area surrounding the school. They have been very welcoming and supportive in providing educational opportunities for our pupils. In turn, our pupils have been innovative in supporting them with necessary first aid items and food donations and look forward to extending our community action in the coming months.
On behalf of the Wangyai Pattana Community, I would like to say that we highly appreciate the kindness of the teachers, the students, and the staff from Brighton College Bangkok for always giving support to our community. Thank you.
Vichai Sanaeha, Chairman of Wangyai Pattana Community Committee
Caring for the Planet
To raise awareness of the climate emergency and the vulnerability of our ecosystem, we invite our pupils to play their part and develop solutions, and our community are working together on a number of initiatives, including an ambitious goal to make our campus single-use plastic-free.
Our team of ‘Eco Beasts’ are leading the fight to reduce the school’s energy usage, with a policy to only use lights and air conditioning where necessary, and to recycle as much of our waste as possible. This year we received the Eco Schools Silver Awards, solidifying these green principles across the College.
We also run an Eco Day every year.
