In Reception, we plan the activities based on the children’s interests. Last week, they are interested in pirates and mermaids so this week we made a whole area where they could explore this. We have read stories, made treasure maps, made a mermaid tail, drawn pictures together using descriptive language, and most importantly, had fun role-playing as mermaids and pirates!
