A weekend of Remembrance: The Brighton College Bangkok community came together for various acts of Remembrance over recent days. On Friday, pupils and staff attended Remembrance assemblies in school. The choir sang, pupils read poems and explained the purpose of the occasion, and our resident Piper played the traditional Remembrance lament Flowers of the Forest. On Saturday 11th November, the Head Master visited Kanchanaburi War Cemetery, the final resting place of Old Brightonian Dennis Clark. Dennis died in 1943 in Thailand while a Prisoner of War. His sacrifice was remembered on behalf of College pupils and staff eighty years on. On Sunday 12th November, it was an honour for Brighton College Bangkok to be represented at the British Embassy's Remembrance Service held at the British Club and to lay a wreath in memory of all those who gave their lives to protect our freedom. วันรำลึกถึงผู้เสียสละในสงคราม (Remembrance Day) โรงเรียนนานาชาติ ไบรท์ตัน คอลเลจ กรุงเทพฯ ได้รวมตัวกันเพื่อรำลึกความหลัง เมื่อวันศุกร์ที่ผ่านมา ทั้งนักเรียนและครูในโรงเรียน ร่วมร้องเพลงประสานเสียง อ่านบทกวี และมีการเล่น Pipe เป็นบรรเลงเพลงรำลึกถึง Flowers of the Forest แบบดั้งเดิมในวันเสาร์ที่ 11 พฤศจิกายน ครูใหญ่ได้เยี่ยมชมสุสานทหารสัมพันธมิตรที่จังหวัดกาญจนบุรี ซึ่งเป็นที่พำนักแห่งสุดท้ายของ Old Brightonian Dennis Clark เดนนิสเสียชีวิตในปี พ.ศ. 2486 ในประเทศไทย และในวันอาทิตย์ที่ 12 พฤศจิกายน ครูใหญ่ได้เป็นตัวแทนในงานรำลึกสถานเอกอัครราชทูตอังกฤษซึ่งจัดขึ้นที่ British Club และได้วางพวงมาลาเพื่อรำลึกถึงทุกคนที่สละชีวิต #BrightonCollegeBangkok #internationalschool #britishcurriculum #school #academic #teaching #RemembranceDay #November11th #honour #remember
