Year 2 enjoyed a fantastic day of fun and adventure for our hook day for the new terms learning about ‘Great Explorers”. During the morning the pupils enjoyed making cardboard cameras and binoculars. They also enjoyed making mini shelters using paper, sticky tape, chopsticks and marshmallows. The pupils tested these with a large fan and luckily some survived the storm. The pupils also enjoyed a word search about significant explorers and reading non-fiction books as well as reading online books using the app Epic. Finally the pupils enjoyed sharing the three items they brought to school for their day of adventures these items included binoculars, a diary, cameras, sun cream, walking boots and much more! What a super way to start our new topic of learning. There are many more adventures to come this term in Year 2.
