Year 8 was very lucky to welcome Mr. Drover into their Music class this week, as part of their exploration of Folk Music. Mr. Drover spoke about the history of the bagpipes, how they worked, and how he learnt to play them and we were then treated to a performance of the Skye Boat Song, which we have been learning on the instruments recently. Well done Year 8 for posing some interesting questions at the end of our Q & A session and thank you Mr. Drover for taking the time to share your wealth of knowledge and musicianship.
