I began my education at the University of Texas at Dallas, later earning masters' degrees in educational administration and literature education. Most of my classroom experience has been at the senior school level, but I have also taught composition and reading in universities. Before moving overseas I taught English, reading remediation, and EAL My first overseas post was teaching girls in the United Arab Emirates. I have developed local and national curriculum in English instruction. Additionally, I have consulted for the National Board for the Certification of Teachers in the US and have written exams and evaluated portfolios for teachers seeking their qualifications in the state of Texas. I have come to Bangkok as Head of EAL at Brighton College with over 20 years of teaching.
