In 2001, I graduated from Liverpool John Moores University with a 4-year BA (Hons) Degree in Primary Education.
Prior to working at Brighton College, I taught for approximately eight years at a leading independent school in Staffordshire and four years at two 'outstanding' rated schools in England. I also worked for eight years as a junior school leader and classroom teacher at Shrewsbury International School, Bangkok.
In total, I have over twenty consecutive years in the teaching profession; ten years in key stage one and ten years in key stage two.
Throughout my career I have received extensive training in the field of developing language proficiency among school populations, especially within an inclusionary and international context. Consequently, I use a wide range of EAL/ESL strategies in the classroom to help facilitate English language proficiency.
