As a top international school in Bangkok, we take our responsibility to the environment and our local community seriously.
To raise awareness of the climate emergency and the vulnerability of our ecosystem, we invite our pupils to play their part and develop solutions, and our community are working together on a number of initiatives.
Our most ambitious goal is to be single-use plastic-free by August 2020, which requires a coordinated effort from parents, children and the teachers at the College.
In addition, our team of ‘Eco Beasts’ are helping to reduce the school’s energy usage, with a policy to only use lights and air conditioning where necessary.
Parents and guardians are invited to bring their recyclable waste to the school to be collected, and even the youngest pupils at the school are involved, as they bring their plastic bottle tops to school every day to be recycled into homewares by a company called Precious Plastic.
As a school, we regularly run events for local charities, from cake sales to themed House days where children can wear fancy dress. Being able to donate small money and raise large totals provides a great lesson for our pupils that their contributions matter from a young age.
