As a top international school in Bangkok, we take our responsibility to the environment and our local community seriously.
As a school, we regularly run events for local charities, from cake sales to themed House days where children can wear fancy dress. Being able to donate small money and raise large totals provides a great lesson for our pupils that their contributions matter from a young age. We work closely with the local Wang Yai Community, supporting them with necessary first aid items, food donations and support, and look forward to extending our community action in the coming months.
Our team of ‘Eco Beasts’ are leading the fight to reduce the school’s energy usage, with a policy to only use lights and air conditioning where necessary, and to recycle as much of our waste as possible. This year we will also be applying for an ‘Eco Schools’ status, solidifying these green principles across the College. To raise awareness of the climate emergency and the vulnerability of our ecosystem, we invite our pupils to play their part and develop solutions, and our community are working together on a number of initiatives, including an ambitious goal to make our campus single-use plastic-free.
