Pupils can take part in a wealth of opportunities, from joining our Rock Bands, Orchestra, Choirs, and Dance Ensembles to stepping onto the stage in one of our many drama productions. Each year, we proudly stage a major production for both our Prep and Senior Schools, alongside festive Christmas showcases and Nativity performances, to name a few.
Beyond the classroom, our pupils shine in events such as Brighton's Got Talent, inter-school competitions with FOBISIA and TISAC, and year-group and key stage Music and Performing Arts showcases throughout the academic year. Whether performing in an intimate recital or taking centre stage in a grand production, every pupil is encouraged to grow in confidence, refine their skills, and embrace the joy of performance.
Dance
All Brighton College schools embrace Dance as a dynamic and inclusive part of their communities. Pupils are encouraged to join co-curricular dance clubs which aim to develop their techniques, creativity and where pupils experience the joy of expressing who they are. At Brighton College Bangkok we offer regular opportunities to rehearse and grow, taking part in performances and competitions throughout the year.
Drama
Drama at Brighton College Bangkok uses the body, voice and imagination to develop creative skills and produce performances. Pupils will explore the basics of drama and learn how to create and perform short dramatic works, such as monologues and duologues. Pupils will perform more complex dramatic works, such as scenes and one-act plays.
Music
We see music as a vital part of learning at Brighton College Bangkok. Pupils perform, compose and explore a range of styles using instruments, voice and technology. Both the international and Thai music departments encourage all pupils to develop creativity, confidence and cultural understanding.
At Brighton College Bangkok, we understand the importance of having exceptional spaces for pupils to express themselves, create, and perform. Our state-of-the-art Performing Arts Centre stands proudly at the entrance of our campus, showcasing the school’s commitment to the Arts.
Our impressive 650-seat theatre, complete with a fly tower, provides pupils with the opportunity to perform on a professional stage while also gaining valuable experience in theatre production and stage management. With large changing rooms and a dedicated costume and prop store, it serves as the heart of our major performances.
The Music Department features a fully equipped band room, dedicated music theory classrooms, and a professional recording studio with a mixing room. Pupils also have access to 20+ soundproofed private practice rooms, ensuring they have the perfect environment to hone their skills.
Our two purpose-built dance studios, complete with ballet barres and floor-to-ceiling mirrors, provide the ideal setting for pupils to develop their technique and express themselves through movement.
Our large black-box theatre is a versatile and adaptable performance space, perfect for intimate showcases, experimental theatre, and exam performances. In addition, various breakout areas and rehearsal spaces are available, allowing pupils to collaborate, create, and prepare for performances in a supportive and inspiring environment.
