We encourage our Sixth Form pupils to actively engage with their local community and empower them to run events throughout the school year, which allows them to collect money for both local and nationwide charities.
We have a long standing relationship with the local Wang Yai community, who live and work in the area surrounding the College. Our pupils have been innovative in supporting them with necessary first aid items and food donations and ongoing community action.
What we do as a school beyond the classroom is very much a reflection of our motto to ‘be a part of society, not apart from it’.
Through the energy and positivity of pupils, teachers and parents, Brighton College Bangkok provides sustainable support for local and national charities each year.
Pupils at Brighton College Bangkok lead the charge in the fight against climate change, and the school’s overarching goal is to become increasingly sustainable.
By raising awareness of the climate emergency and the vulnerability of our ecosystem, we invite our pupils to play their part and develop solutions, and our community is working together on a number of initiatives.
Our team of ‘Eco Warriors’ are leading the fight to reduce the school’s energy usage, with a policy to only use lights and air conditioning where necessary, and to recycle as much of our waste as possible.
The installation of our first phase of solar panels is a visible demonstration of our commitment to sustainability.
Our spaces, designed by award-winning architects, are crafted to be more than just functional. They utilize space, light, and resources to inspire both teachers and pupils alike.
